National, State, and Regional parks In the Poconos offer amazing hikes, views, waterfalls, rivers, lakes and more. Want to hike the Appalachian Trail? There are several trailheads between 15 and 30 minutes away. Horseback riding, River Rafting, Boating, Bicycling, Skydiving and many more activities are all easily accessible in the warmer months.

Country charm with modern touches

Cute, lovely and cozy home! Light and bright as there are many natural light that comes in when the sun is out. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Well stocked with toiletries. Kitchen had adequate kitchware and dishware. Although additional pots/pans would have been helpful as we cooked for a party of 6 adults. There are also additional towels and linens if needed. We took advantage of the games when the weather didn't allow for much outdoor activities, so sadly we weren't able to use the firepit and hike the trail on the property. Nonetheless, we made many memories. It is definitely the home away from home. Looking forward to staying there again!

Our recent stay at 'The Farmhouse,' nestled in the picturesque Poconos, was a memorable escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. DeWitt and his wife Jean, our gracious hosts, ensured that our visit was filled with warmth and hospitality, making us feel like extended family.
The Farmhouse itself exudes charm and coziness, offering a serene haven in the heart of nature. DeWitt and Jean's attention to detail in creating a welcoming atmosphere was evident in every corner of the property. They both took their time to talk to us and were especially great with my kids. It's a place where you can truly unwind and reconnect with nature.
One of the unique aspects is the delightful presence of Jet and Benny, two friendly goats who added a touch of playfulness to our stay. Our kids were overjoyed with the opportunity to interact with these charming animals and explore the beautiful countryside surroundings.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the hiking trails surrounding the property provided the perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in nature's beauty. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just looking for a leisurely stroll, the trails offer a chance to breathe in the fresh mountain air and take in stunning vistas.
Additionally, 'The Farmhouse' is conveniently located close to various wineries in the Poconos region. This made our stay even more enticing, as we had the chance to indulge in wine tastings and explore the local vineyards, adding a touch of sophistication to our countryside retreat.

This was the most wonderful rental experience my family has ever had! From the minute we arrived, Jean & DeWitt were the epitome of hospitality. DeWitt met us upon arrival and gave us a wonderful tour of the farmhouse and property, informing us of all the amenities offered! The farmhouse is clean, comfortable, & cozy! The attention to detail is impeccable from the complimentary fresh sourdough bread to the extra toiletries, everything we could need was provided. The property is beautiful- we enjoyed hiking at sunset, roasting s’mores by the fire and giving treats to Benny & Jet- the goats! Thank you for a most relaxing long weekend-we are already recommending this stay to all our friends and family and we would definitely love to go back! Thanks Jean & DeWitt!! Alison

- The location was perfect for us. If you're looking for a remote countryside environment, this is the place. Though it feels remote, you're not more than 15 minutes away from outlets, groceries, and restaurants. If you're planning on skiing or snowboarding, you're less than 15 minutes from Camelback Mountain. Blue Ridge Winery is 15 minutes away with a fabulous tasting room and amazing views.
Everything has been remodeled, combining a modern/retro feel with the aesthetics of the old farmhouse. All appliances are brand new. Everything worked perfectly and we loved the heated bathroom floors.
Most of all our stay was enhanced by the personal touches and friendly hosts. From the fresh baked bread and essentials in the fridge to the goat walking for our girls. We felt right at home and wanted to stay longer. We came home recommending this rental to our family and friends and hope to be back very soon! Maira

We brought our bikes and rode the mountain biking/hiking trail on the property! We highly recommend this home and location if you’re interested in visiting Poconos Mountains, Jim Thorpe, Easton, and Kunkletown areas!
